Description: Under general supervision, performs specialized library work assisting in planning and organizing individualized or small group classes to community members who need access to affordable home internet, affordable internet capable devices, and/or coaching in introductory digital skills in order to become effective internet users. The assistance provided will be through telephone calls, email, text, video chat, in-person workshops, and other communication methods that work for the learner. Employee must exercise initiative, independent judgment, selforganization, and flexibility. Employee must also have the ability to demonstrate a positive attitude, excellent interpersonal communication skills, and provide excellent customer service. Reports to the Youth Services Manager. This position is 28 hours per week and funded through June 2022.
Qualifications: Graduation from High School and working with the public in a Library setting; college degree preferred; or a graduate student registered in a Master’s in Library Science program; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
Salary: $16.77 / hour
