Description: Under general supervision, performs specialized library work in the Circulation Department of the Library. Work involves assisting library patrons in the use of library services, facilities, and equipment, and planning and implementing outreach services to homebound patrons, adult day cares, senior centers, nursing homes and assisted living centers in coordination with the Outreach Librarian. Employee must exercise independent judgment in completing assigned tasks. Employee must also exercise considerable tact and courtesy in frequent contact with patrons and the general public. Reports to the Circulation Supervisor.
Qualifications: Associate’s degree and a minimum of one year of experience working with the public in a Library setting; College degree preferred; previous experience working with seniors preferred. Bilingual preferred. Possession of a valid North Carolina Driver’s License required. Evening and weekend work required.
Salary: $44,909.25 - $57,483.83
