Description
An employee in this position performs responsible technical and para-professional librarian work supporting the Harnett County Public Library System’s Technical Services Department. Work involves cataloging of materials in the NC Cardinal system, preparing materials to be ready for circulation, and repairing print materials. Additional duties include assisting in a variety of library services such as patron assistance and customer service, reader’s advisory, and organizing and shelving library materials.
Qualifications
Associate’s degree in library science, information science, or a related field;
One (1) year of related work or volunteer library experience preferably as an employee;
Or equivalent education and/or experience; and
Possession of a valid North Carolina driver's license.
Possession of Certificates of Achievement for Item Cataloging Assessment and Bibliographical Cataloging Assessment issued by NC State Library Cardinal Consortium desired depending on assignment.
Salary
$37,410.00 Annually
