Description:
Responsibilities include delivering educational library programs, primarily for ages 11-18, computer-based library tasks including materials circulation, reader's advisory, and information retrieval.
Staff will assist the public with Internet use, electronic devices, computer software, scanning & copying, and faxing. Staff will shelve books, perform collection maintenance, perform follow-up on overdue.
Qualifications:
Required: associate's degree; 1 year working with the public; excellent computer skills, knowledge of Internet searches, mobile devices, productivity software including some graphic design, using social media as a marketing tool. Must be a team player, have superior customer skills, be professional and organized, work independently, have a strong work ethic, and be attentive to details. Must be able to multi-task, lift 30 pounds, stand for extended periods of time, have a valid NC driver's license. Preferred: experience with educational programs for ages 11-18; experience working in a public library; be an avid reader; possess a 4-year bachelor's degree.
Salary: $28,179/year - $28,883/year
