Library Programs & Outreach Manager - Carteret County Public Library System
Description: This position is responsible for the daily coordination, oversight, and management of library programs and outreach services within the Carteret County Library System. Work involves program development, coordination, and scheduling with library branch managers and staff as well as outreach services, relationship development and management with external organizations, agencies and the general public. Employees in this classification create, support, develop, plan, market and coordinate scheduled library programs and promotional events and establish relationships with community partners to broaden the range of library programs offered and ensure library goals and objectives are met. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Library Director and is reviewed through observation, performance measures, and public feedback for quality and effectiveness in fulfillment of library objectives as outlined by the Library Director.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or related field with one to three years of customer service experience in a public library or similar setting; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
