Description: Forsyth County Public Library has exciting opportunities for enthusiastic library professionals to manage the day-to-day operations of department units at the branch libraries and in Central Library departments. The Library Supervisor is responsible for the provision of library services and programs in the unit for which they are assigned. Library Supervisor positions supervise staff teams ranging in size from four to ten. As part of a library work team, the Library Supervisor also provides circulation services, day-to-day management of duties, supervision of employees, and excellent customer service to customers of all ages. Library Supervisors serve on internal teams or committees that work on systemwide initiatives in collaboration with Library Administration. Library Supervisors will demonstrate competencies in current technology and electronic resources and will assist customers using public computers. The work schedule will include nights and weekends. The Library system operates under a flexible hiring clause with regard to location placement.

Qualifications: Master of library science degree from an ALA-accredited library school and at least three years experience in professional library work. Supervisory experience preferred. Must obtain North Carolina Public Librarian Certification. A higher education level may be considered as substitution for all or part of experience requirement.

Salary: $40,601.47 - $46,691.69
