Description: Forsyth County Public Library has an opportunity for qualified Library professionals to manage the day-to-day operations of the historic Malloy/Jordan East Winston Heritage Center branch library. This Library Supervisor position is responsible for the provision of library services and programs for the branch. As part of a library work team, the Library Supervisor also provides circulation services, day-to-day management of duties, supervision of employees, and excellent customer service to customers of all ages. Library Supervisors serve on internal teams or committees that work on systemwide initiatives in collaboration with Library Administration. Library Supervisors will demonstrate competencies in current technology and electronic resources and will assist customers using public computers. The work schedule will include nights and weekends.
Qualifications: Master of library science degree from an ALA accredited library school and at least three years experience in professional library work. Supervisory experience preferred. Must obtain certification of the North Carolina Public Librarian Certification Commission. A higher education level may be considered as a substitution for all or part of the experience requirement.
Salary: $52,208-$60,039.20 Annually
