Description: Are you looking for a leadership role? The New Hanover County Public Library is actively seeking a Library Supervisor to lead the circulation staff in providing services to a diverse population at our Pine Valley Library in Wilmington. Operating under the direction of the branch manager, the Library Supervisor is tasked with various responsibilities, including but not limited to: Engaging directly with the public, responding to informational, reader advisory and service requests daily Optimizing customer service by training a successful circulation team and creating sustainable staff schedules for all service points Developing the individual potential of direct Position Description reports through mentoring and effective feedback Contributing to collection development and maintenance. Hours are from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday through Friday, including at least one evening per week; Saturdays and Sundays in assigned rotation. Must be available during emergency situations.
Qualifications: Master's in Library Science from an accredited institution of Library Science 3 years professional experience as a librarian required, preferably in a public library. Supervisory experience preferred. Public library work experience preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Salary: $59,168.00 - $100,586.00
