Description: Provide services to youth in the Youth Services Division of the County Public Library system; plans, schedules, and travels to present programs to youth at County libraries, daycare centers and other sites in Henderson County as needed or requested. Assists and instructs library patrons in the use of reference materials and equipment and answers routine reference questions and requests. Ability to explain and use digital library services; ability to operate filming equipment and video editing software required by the position; ability to communicate effectively orally; ability to safely and efficiently operate a motor vehicle; ability to attend work regularly; excellent customer service interpersonal skills.
Qualifications: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and some experience working in a customer service position with considerable public contact; library experience preferred. Experience working with youth. Valid NC Driver’s License required. Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
Salary: $14.34/hour
