Description: Performs responsible clerical library work to provide services to youth in the Youth Services Division of the County Public Library system; plans, schedules, and travels to present programs to youth at branch libraries, daycare centers and other sites in Henderson County as needed or requested. Assists and instructs library patrons in the use of reference materials and equipment; answers routine reference questions and requests; performs related work as required. Work is performed under regular supervision. Reports to the Librarian III – Youth Services Coordinator. Some evenings and Saturdays required.
Qualifications: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and some experience working in a customer service position with considerable public contact; library experience preferred. Experience working with youth. Valid NC Driver’s License required. Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
Salary: $15 - $19.76 / hour
