DESCRIPTION
The State Library is seeking a dedicated and forward-thinking Machine Unit Clerk to join our team! This position maintains inventory records and associated statistical reports for all audio machines, braille eReaders, and accessories circulated by ABLS. It has responsibility for preliminary processing of machines returned by patrons and conducts quality assurance testing of repaired/refurbished machines. This position prepares new and repaired machines for shipment to patrons. It also contacts patrons and caregivers when machines have been returned without instructions for replacement or termination of service. Also provides backup technical support for Internet connectivity of audio machines and braille eReaders.
QUALIFICATIONS
1) Work requires close visual acuity to perform an activity such as analyzing data, viewing a computer monitor, visual inspections of small parts, machine operation, and assembling parts at distances close to the eyes with or without reasonable accommodation.
2) Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the subject's own body with or without reasonable accommodation.
3) Must have a valid driver’s license issued from within the United States or be able to obtain one within 90 days of employment.
SALARY
$31,200.00 - $40,978.00
