Description: The Multicultural Services and Bookmobile Supervisor position to the Outreach division works 40 hours per week with the ability to work a flexible schedule as needed (evenings and weekends). The Multicultural Services and Bookmobile Supervisor is responsible for promoting library services and outreach programming to diverse audiences from various ethnic backgrounds. This includes collection development of World Language/International materials and networking with other agencies to serve the needs of our intercultural communities. Additionally, as a professional librarian, position holder will be responsible for providing intergenerational programs requested of the Outreach division and will plan, facilitate and promote to library customers. Other duties will include but are not limited to; supervision and operation of county bookmobile services, circulating materials to library customers, materials processing, processing library cards, timesheet and appraisal submissions for any direct reports. Position may require bending, stretching and squatting, pushing/pulling book trucks weighing up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications: Master of library science degree from an ALA-accredited library school and at least three years experience in professional library work. Supervisory experience preferred. A higher education level may be considered as a substitution for all or part of the experience requirement.
Salary: $42,641.54 - $49,037.77
