Have you heard the buzz about the importance of native plants and pollinators? Join us for a walking tour of the native plant gardens on Jones Street, focusing on native pollinators and their role in our ecosystem.
Lauri Lawson, horticulturalist and native plant expert, will lead this walking tour hosted by the SLNC Government and Heritage Library with support from North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences staff. We will visit native plant gardens at multiple DNCR sites, including the DNCR building and the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences in downtown Raleigh. This event will take place outdoors, with participants traveling approximately ½ mile round trip via paved sidewalks. In the event of inclement weather, registrants are invited to join staff in the GHL Reading Room for a primer onpollinators. Registrants will be notified of any changes in advance. Registration is capped at 20.
