Description:
The Natural Sciences & Engineering Collections Coordinator and Research Librarian creates and implements high-level collecting strategies for the Natural Sciences & Engineering department in collaboration with department members and the Head of Collection Strategy and Development. They lead efforts to evaluate and promote collections across multiple formats. They work with library colleagues to provide exceptional research support for students, staff, and faculty across the STEM disciplines.
Qualifications:
Education:
Required: Master’s degree from an ALA-accredited program or equivalent combination of a relevant advanced degree and experience.
Preferred: BA/BS degree in science discipline or equivalent academic training.
Experience (Required)
•Evidence of commitment to diversity and the ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds
•Three or more years of experience supporting science researchers and students in an academic, research, or special library
•Demonstrated initiative and the ability to work creatively and effectively both independently and as a team member
•Aptitude and interest in learning new tools and skills to support modern research methods
Salary: $63,500/year-$82,400/year
