Description: Randall Library at the University of North Carolina Wilmington seeks an Open Knowledge & Research Impact Librarian to serve as the campus expert on open access, research impact, scholarly publishing, copyright and fair use, author rights, and open education. The Open Knowledge and Research Impact Librarian is part of Randall Library’s Academic & Research Engagement (ARE) division, which collaborates with faculty, staff, and students in UNCW academic units to provide information literacy instruction, assist with research, develop the library collection, provide consultative services supporting research and scholarly communication, and partner on programming, in alignment with the information and research needs of campus stakeholders. Library faculty in this division proactively engage with campus constituents to promote the use of library services, facilities, materials, and expertise. 

Qualifications: ALA-accredited master’s degree in library and information sciences. Demonstrated knowledge of or experience with digital content management or repository systems and software applications, copyright and other intellectual property issues in the academic environment, and open educational resources and their development. Demonstrated knowledge of emerging practices, standards, and trends relating to open knowledge and research impact. Ability to learn, and/or experience with, the creation of asynchronous online learning objects using appropriate instructional technologies.

Salary: $59,176
