Description: The Operations Administrative Specialist works for the State Library of North Carolina and is responsible for supporting the State Library’s operational and programmatic goals. The operations administrative specialist is a member of a 4-person administrative support team with responsibility for program support, procurement, communications, financial record-keeping and records management duties that support all State Library programs. Key responsibilities include performing a variety of procurement, communications, financial record-keeping, records management, and program support duties such as coordinating logistical arrangements for workshops and meetings at the State Library and other locations across the state; processing travel reimbursements; updating website content; and processing applications and other documentation for North Carolina Public Librarian Certification and the State Aid grant program.
Qualifications: High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated experience using current office technology and applications. Demonstrated experience using specialized software and/or database systems such as electronic procurement systems, Access, MS Excel, and/or Adobe Acrobat. Demonstrated experience operating and/or troubleshooting standard office equipment. Demonstrated experience working with and/or reconciling budget reports. Demonstrated experience with arranging and/or coordinating meetings. Completion of college level accounting coursework. Demonstrated knowledge of State of North Carolina procurement procedures.
Salary: $31.200 - $38,000
