Description:
Under general supervision, performs specialized library work coordinating the mobile library and outreach services, developing library programs and services, and communicating with the public. Work involves developing an ongoing plan for outreach services to meet community needs based on interaction and feedback with library users, community organizations and agencies, and the public. The employee works with library staff, statewide library organizations and agencies, and community partners to provide programs and services to underserved populations. The employee must exercise initiative and independent judgment in working with library staff and community partners. Employee must also exercise considerable tact and courtesy in frequent contacts with library patrons. Reports to the Library Director.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Library Science with one (1) to three (3) years of Public Library experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Possession of a valid North Carolina Driver’s License required.
- Must be eligible for North Carolina Public Librarian Certification.
- Evening and weekend work required.
Salary: $54,556.29
