Description: This position serves as the Overnight Access Technician in the Circulation Department of Davis Library. The incumbent is one of three staff during late-night service hours, and the only fulltime, permanent library employee during those hours. The Technician provides information, technology, and circulation services at the Davis Service Desk, a fast-paced service point where people go to get assistance. This includes learning about the collections and services offered by the University Libraries, navigating the website and electronic resources, or finding a book. The Overnight Access Technician manages materials to support core operations and services. They organize and maintain high-use collections in Davis Library and across the campus Libraries. The incumbent will process document delivery requests, retrieve requests for patrons, and ensure held materials are available for borrowers. With other departmental staff, they will help manage a diverse and high-performing student employee community through mentoring, training, and supervision.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalency and two years of experience in library services, office support, or related field; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
