Description: WCPL is hiring a part-time (20 hours per week) Adult Services Librarian for the Morrisville Community Library to focus on the adult population in that community. The position works in the library with a team of Librarians and Library Assistants dedicated to offering quality service and dynamic programming. Beyond delivering programs and providing professional services, the position provides reference, readers' advisory, and circulation assistance. Librarians are offered the opportunity to collaborate with managers and peers; and participate in system initiatives, though on a more limited basis due to the part-time schedule. Plans, promotes, and presents programs and services for new adults through seniors. Works directly with the public on a service desk providing reference and readers' advisory. Takes a lead with Library Assistants assigned to assist in the delivery of programs.
Qualifications: Master's degree in Librarianship or related field: MLS, MLIS, MIS, ML from an ALA accredited program or NC program. No specific experience required. Equivalent education and experience are NOT accepted.
Salary: $20.81-28.10 / hour
