Description: WCPL is looking for a dynamic and highly motivated Part-time Adult Services Librarian for our Wake Forest Community Library. In addition to providing direct public service, the Librarian delivers programs and professional services aimed at an adult audience. These programs and services focus on a variety of topics, including job searching/skills, technology assistance, and reader’s advisory. Additionally, the Librarian will serve as Manager on Duty in the absence of the Library Manager and will have the opportunity to participate in system-level initiatives. Key Responsibilities of an Adult Services Librarian include working directly with the public on a service desk providing excellent customer service; developing and presenting programs and services to meet the needs of the community; serving as Manager on Duty in the absence of the Library Manager; providing reference and readers’ advisory services; maintaining and merchandizing areas of the adult collection; and assisting the public with basic technology and
online searching.
Qualifications: Master's degree in Librarianship or related field: MLS, MLIS, MIS, ML from an ALA-accredited program or NC program. Coursework in adult services and one year of professional librarian experience preferred.
Salary: $20.19 - $27.26 / hour
