Description: WCPL is hiring a part-time Youth Services Librarian for North Regional Library, located in North Raleigh, to create and deliver quality programming for young children and work on a busy service desk offering reference, readers’ advisory and circulation assistance. Librarians are offered the opportunity to collaborate with managers and peers; and participate in system initiatives, though on a more limited basis with a part time schedule. Key Responsibilities of a part-time Youth Services Librarian are to plan, promote and present programs for children and families. Work directly with the public on a service desk providing excellent customer service. Work with Library Assistants assigned to assist in the delivery of programs.
Qualifications: Master's degree in Librarianship or related field: MLS, MLIS, MIS, ML from an ALA accredited program or NC program No specific experience required Equivalent education and experience are NOT accepted.
