Description: Perry Memorial Library in Henderson, NC, is seeking a self-motivated professional for the position of Patron Services/Outreach Librarian. The patron services/outreach librarian is responsible for all aspects of the circulation department and coordination of outreach activities. This is a full-time position, 37.5 hours per week, some nights and weekends. Work includes managing and supervising daily operations of the circulation department; planning and coordination of community outreach activities and services; participating in library management and public services teams; and providing reference and computer assistance to patrons. Weekend and evening hours are required.
Qualifications: Requires Master of Library Science (MLS) degree from an ALA accredited library school and at least one year of public library experience. Supervisory experience preferred. Knowledge of public library services and technologies required. Experience with Evergreen ILS preferred.
Salary: $45,184 - $58,740
