Description
An employee in this position is responsible for planning, organizing, promoting and executing public library programs and services. With an emphasis on youth, their families and caregivers, and the ability to also service adults 18+. Night and weekend work are requirements depending upon library needs.
Qualifications
Thorough knowledge of the relevant collection of material, especially for children and youth.
Thorough knowledge of the operation of a public library and practices of library science including administration principles and policies, procedures, and practices of the library.Ability to plan and coordinate successful programs and services relating to children and youth. Ability to continuously explore and connect with new partnerships and programs throughout the community.
Bachelor’s degree required; master's in library science preferred. Public library experience in, programming, storytelling and children’s services. Or an equivalent combination as demonstrated by several years of prior public library work experience.
Salary
$20.77-$25.96 (depending upon qualifications)
