Description: This part-time benefitted position works 20 hours/a week and primarily supports the planning and implementation of children’s programs, particularly story times geared for ages 10 and under; assists children and adults with reference questions in person and by telephone; assists users with computers; assists with system-wide children’s programs and events and with the planning and creation of library displays; and staffs the public service desk; evening and weekend work required.
Requires storytelling/performance experience; general knowledge of library practices and procedures; the ability to compile information with general instructions, navigate databases
and internet resources, gather and give basic information and instructions regarding the operation and use of the library and its resources, and communicate effectively with the
general public.
Qualifications: Minimum qualifications include an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts, Business Administration, or related field and one year of experience working in a library or public service setting; experience working with children preferred; bilingual Spanish skills preferred.
Salary: Pay Rate: $15.94 - $17.53 (commensurate with experience) and excellent benefits package available.
