Description: Randall Library seeks an innovative, collaborative librarian to serve in the role of Public Service Archivist to coordinate reference, instruction, and access services for the Center for Southeast North Carolina Archives and History. Responsibilities upon initial appointment include: manage reference requests whether in-person or remotely; manage reading room operations; manage reproduction order process for reference requests in consultation with Center staff; record all transactions in library statistics tracking system according to guidelines; perform circulation functions; supervise student employees; plan and conduct information literacy sessions on behalf of the Center for courses across all disciplines; advocate for the inclusion of primary source literacy initiatives by working with academic departments to integrate Center collections into the curriculum; areate and maintain subject guides that highlight the Center’s resources; plan and install physical and virtual exhibits using Center resources; coordinate Randall Library social media initiatives across all platforms; and coordinate and support special events and tours.

Qualifications: ALA-Accredited Master’s degree in library and information sciences, or other Master’s degree with relevant experience

Salary: $53,000+
