Description: This position is part of the library’s public services department. The primary responsibility is providing customer service and library support to students at multiple service points in the library, both in person on service desks and virtually through chat and other online services. Other responsibilities include: supervision of part-time library staff; collection development responsibilities or assigned area(s) of the library's collection; some library instruction, including in-person instruction, one-on-one appointments with students, and embedded support of assigned courses; assisting Senior Librarian with desk schedules; special projects such as displays, inventory, etc.; and active participation on at least one library committee.
Qualifications: Master’s Degree from a regionally-accredited institution in Library Science or Master of Library and Information Studies; ALA-accredited and one year of library experience.
Salary: $42,935.00 (starting)
