Description: The Receiving Specialist is a member of the Resource Acquisitions & Management (RAM) department. This department handles the acquisitions, licensing, administration, and support for library materials for collections throughout the University Libraries. RAM is responsible for expending a multi-million dollar monographic materials budget by acquiring print and electronic materials, using a variety of methods: firm orders, approval plans, blanket orders, and standing orders. University Library Technicians in RAM work directly with different internal customers and external resource/service providers to answer questions about materials, complete orders, authorize payments, establish access and administration, and to ensure the functionality and availability of materials. This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that may include a partially remote work location, consistent with System Office policy.
Qualifications: Previous academic library and technical service experience, particularly in cataloging or acquisitions; bibliographic knowledge of at least one modern language other than English; experience with Sierra or another automated library system.
Salary: $50,280 - $54,776
