Description:

The Reference Services Supervisor is a primary reference librarian, and the public services liaison. This position also oversees the management of access services functions including library card registration, circulation, patron records management, interlibrary loan, closed stacks material retrieval, and tracking and reporting in-house use statistics. This position has the potential for hybrid work with a minimum of minimum of four days per week onsite. 

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of library and information science, archival, and/or records management principles, methods, and practices, particularly as they relate to reference and public services.
  • Demonstrated experience providing reference and research assistance in an academic, public, or special library.
  • Demonstrated experience managing access services, including circulation and/or interlibrary loan.
  • Demonstrated experience developing instruction and training, such as workshops, webinars, educational programs, and/or presentations for audiences with varying needs, interests, and levels of knowledge and experience.
  • Master's degree in library and information science or a related discipline from an appropriately accredited institution. Four years of professional librarian experience related to the area of assignment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Salary: $49,158/year - $86,026/year
