Description: The Duke University Medical Center Library & Archives is seeking a dynamic and proactive librarian for our Research & Education team with a focus on our growing research impact services. The Research & Education Librarian and Lead for Research Impact enables and promotes research integrity and evidence-based practice at Duke Health through research consultation, advanced literature searching, instruction, guides and tutorials, and by assisting users in locating accurate and timely information. As Lead for Research Impact, this position focuses on research impact and scholarly communications initiatives, such as the NIH Public Access Policy and institutional publication tracking. They also provide input and support for the library's growing data management planning and data sharing services. As part of the Research & Education team, the liaison also collaborates with other Research & Education librarians and Duke Health patrons on health sciences information services such as reference and systematic reviews.
Qualifications: Master's degree in Library/Information Science or equivalent combination of other education and experience. Individuals graduating by August 2022 will be considered. Knowledge of library instruction and education services, information and reference services, in-depth database searching strategies, and project management. Experience with citation metrics, research impact analysis, or publication tracking.
