Description: Position oversees all activities related to the provision of basic research support at the Public Service Desk, which entails helping users navigate library databases, catalogs, collections, and other resources; routing in-depth inquiries to the appropriate subject librarian; hiring, training, and supervising student workers to answer general reference question; monitoring, managing, and staffing the Ask ZSR system; and gathering and maintaining statistics on reference related activities conducted at the Public Service Desk. Performs all aspects of circulation activities, including the checking out of library materials, processing returned items, paging requested items, placing holds, renewing items, collecting library fees and fines, and creating library accounts This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week).

Qualifications: Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong commitment to customer service and user satisfaction. Initiative, energy, enthusiasm, and commitment to supporting the academic and research needs of students and faculty in a liberal arts university. Excellent communication skills.

Salary: $19.49/hour; $38,000/year
