Description: This position will work as a member of the Community Engagement Unit; working closely with the Main Library Manager, Children’s and Teen Services, and STEAM Literacy units. The person in this position will be specifically responsible for library services for persons with disabilities and inclusive programming, including oversight of unique sensory spaces. The Accessibility Services Coordinator will implement and design programs both in library locations and out in the community, working with and supporting staff to make services and programs more accessible and inclusive for persons with disabilities. They will provide day-to-day staffing, coordination and maintenance of the Multi- Sensory Environment and Sensory Calming Room in Main Library. The coordinator will also be responsible for working with other library staff to support and coordinate system-wide programs, resources, and services for persons with disabilities. They will be responsible for developing partnerships with various community organizations to promote library services and resources.
Qualifications: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited community college with study in library science or related specialty area and two years of experience in general library services or the related specialty area.
Salary: $18.70 - $33.65 / hour
