DESCRIPTION

The Special Collections and Archives Librarian role will focus on the management and preservation of the university’s Special Collections and University Archives, while also driving financial and material support. The librarian will administer digital collections and library systems and ensure the proper housing, preservation, and handling of all physical materials. This position works closely with technical services on collection development, rare book cataloging, and digitization. The librarian will participate in donor relationship building and work with advancement to secure resources, and will also research, write, and submit grants to support the department. Core duties include providing research assistance to patrons, supervising staff, teaching instruction sessions and LIB 1000, and maintaining collection use statistics and reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS

Academic library experience working in archives or special collections is required. Experience with grant writing, outreach, college level teaching, reference, fundraising, and staff supervision is preferred. ALA-accredited Master’s Degree.

SALARY

$$53,560.00 / ANNUALLY
