Description: The Team Lead for Original Cataloging oversees in-house and vendor MARC-metadata creation and lifecycle in a variety of formats, languages, and subjects. Leading a team whose mission is promoting inclusive and timely discovery and access to Duke University Libraries collections, you will provide guidance, expertise, and data-driven benchmarks to achieve this mission. You will also contribute original cataloging and entity management within your areas of expertise.
Qualifications: Master’s degree from an ALA-accredited program or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated strong leadership skills through progressively challenging work assignments; experience training catalogers; three years of original cataloging experience in an academic or research library.
