Description: The Library Collections Manager in Tech Services manages the day-to-day operations of functional areas of our Technical Services department. The Technical Services Manager is responsible for advanced, professional cataloging and metadata for physical and digital collections, oversight, and coordination of the departmental workflow of receiving, processing, and distribution of new materials. The position asks for an enthusiastic, innovative individual with a thorough knowledge of the principles, practices and methods of library cataloging serials, and acquisitions and ability to adapt to changing technology or library science methodology.
Qualifications: Master of Library Science from accredited ALA institution. Minimum of ten years of related experience; including five years of supervisory experience with a working knowledge and understanding of the principles, methods, and practices of public library operations.
