Description: Major responsibilities include copy cataloging of all material types; physical processing of all types of music library materials. control of the library collection; resolving identified cataloging issues; identifying and resolving preservation/conservation issues for all material types in the collection; processing and inventorying gift donations; inventorying the Music Library’s collection; database maintenance; managing undergraduate and graduate assistants in tasks associated with any of the above. This hybrid position also incorporates a variety of public service duties, including serving as backup for all circulation, interlibrary loan, and reference activities, student employee supervision, and oversight of all music library operations, which requires regular evening and weekend duties as needed.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalency and two years of experience in library services, office support, or related field; or equivalent combination of training and experience. Preferred qualifications include completion of a bachelor’s degree, academic library experience, cataloging experience, and knowledge of music.
Salary: $36,000 - $37,500
