Description

The Teen and Adult Services Librarian fosters a welcoming, dynamic environment for teen and adult library patrons. This role includes planning and implementing programs that meet diverse interests for teens and adults, providing reference and reader’s advisory services, managing the adult and young adult collections, and coordinating volunteer efforts at the Main Library in Burgaw.

A strong candidate will combine a Master’s in Library Science or equivalent experience in teen and/or adult services in a public library with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will bring creativity, a passion for lifelong learning, and a proven ability to connect with diverse populations. The librarian will play a vital role in making the library a dynamic hub where teens and adults can discover programs, resources, and opportunities that inspire and enrich their lives.

Qualifications

Master's Degree in Library Science (MLS) or Library and Information Science (MLIS) from an ALA-accredited institution or equivalent combination of education and public library background. Prior work in a public library, particularly in teen and adult services, is preferred.

Salary: $51,444.40 - $63,662.44 Annually
