Description:
- Plan, implement, and evaluate a robust schedule of diverse and engaging teen programs.
- Work under the direction of the Teen Services Manager, and in collaboration with Teen Services unit, and staff throughout the library system.
- Collaborate with community partners to provide high-quality programs and services in the community and in the library.
- Develop interactive community relationships with a variety of organizations, promoting use of the library’s resources by organizations who serve teens.
- Work with schools and community agencies to provide instruction in topics such as information gathering, research, digital literacy, reader’s advisory, and college and career readiness skills.
- Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) in the absence of the Main Library Manager.
- Serve on system-wide teams and committees as assigned and with assist with special projects that support the library’s strategic plan.
- Perform related tasks as required or requested.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Completion of a master’s program in library science from an ALA-accredited library school.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to speak Spanish
- Public library experience
- Considerable experience working with underserved populations
Salary: $52,730 - $54,000
