A Universal Design Approach to Creating Inclusive Library Services (part 1) presented by Renee Grassi

Regardless of their disability status, everyone deserves to feel like they belong in a public library. However, due to a multitude of barriers—visible, invisible, real, perceived, institutional, and personal—people with disabilities do not always have equitable access to libraries. What can you do in your role at your library to help create more welcoming and inclusive library experiences for people of all abilities?

PART 1:  Part 1 of the series will introduce the concept of Universal Design and will share concrete examples and strategies that library staff can apply to all levels in their work. Click the link to learn about part 2 of this webinar series, slnc.info/ILS2.
