Description:
The ULS contributes to the Libraries’ data & metadata quality, database design & maintenance, and technical workflows in the Data Projects & Partnerships unit in the Acquisitions & Discovery department. The ULS ensures the integrity of the Libraries’ discovery and financial systems by providing oversight for the following: advanced-level technical support for the Serials and Monographs Units; authority control processes; PeopleSoft voucher process, reconciliation of accounts between vendors, the integrated library system (ILS), and PeopleSoft; budget management; and database and troubleshooting support for the department. The ULS will also facilitate and manage data-related partnerships and projects, providing metadata consulting and technical support for library departments, and for external parties like faculty or other campus entities. The ULS will provide facilitation and project management for partnerships and consulting support, including coordinating and communicating timelines, collaborating with stakeholders of varying technical skill levels, and training stakeholders on new tools/workflows.
