VP, Business Intelligence and Analytics - NC Biotechnology Center

Description: The VPBIA is responsible for activities that are both internally and externally facing. Externally, this role has oversight of the organization’s Life Science Intelligence (LSI) team which provides competitive intelligence, market analysis, and other research in the life science industry. This includes providing contract-based services to multinational corporations as well as providing services to new entrepreneurs to support their efforts to start and grow a company. Internally, the Impact Research Team (IRT) is responsible for supporting Center staff through data management operations and information tracking of the Center’s impact across multiple program areas. This team provides system administration for Center applications, including but not limited to a client-relationship management system, a digital asset management system and the Center’s intranet. In addition, this team provides technical oversight of the Center’s website. The VP directly supervises four people including the Director, LSI; Director, IRT; Program Manager; Electronic Resources Manager.

Qualifications: Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree in library sciences, information technology, data analytics, or a related field, along with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including 3 years of demonstrated supervision and management experience. Additionally, experience within a medical or special library setting is highly valued. For the minimum qualifications, a Bachelor’s degree is required, along with at least 15 years of applicable experience, with a specific emphasis on having accrued 5 or more years in supervisory and management roles.

Salary: $126,000
