You Can Do IT Technology Training

Henderson County Public Library

Led by Carson Block, this hands-on and in-person training will familiarize participants with the Toward Gigabit Libraries Toolkit and help realize an improvement of the library’s networking capacity to complete a broadband improvement plan and use that knowledge to take advantage of E-rate funding, technology grant opportunities, and the services offered by the NC Broadband Infrastructure Office. One printed copy of the Toward Gigabit Libraries revised toolkit (v. 1.5) will be provided to each participating library system.

Please note:

Registration is required, and each session is limited to 20 public library systems with up to 2 staff attending per system. Each attendee must register. An IT staff member may register if accompanied by a library staff member. In the event of COVID travel restrictions, trainings will be held virtually.

This program is supported by grant funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) as administered by the State Library of North Carolina, a division of the N.C. Department of Natural and Cultural Resources (IMLS grant number LS-252476-OLS-22).
