Description: We are seeking an energetic leader who will design and implement imaginative youth programs and services in alignment with our new strategic plan. This position is ideal for a person who is ready to share inclusive ideas and build relationships that will enrich the lives of local children and teens. The Youth Services Librarian builds and maintains system-wide youth collections, provides reader's advisory and reference services, supervises assigned youth services staff, manages departmental statistics and budgets, and promotes services and resources through creative displays and marketing. Our system's main library is located in Lumberton, NC and there are 6 affiliated libraries throughout Robeson County.
Qualifications: ALA-accredited MLS, previous experience working with children, valid NC driver's license. One to three of public library experience, supervisory experience, bilingual, and NC Public Librarian Certification preferred.
