Description: The Greensboro Public Library is seeking a Youth Services Librarian who is an energetic professional. The position plans, promotes and implements creative programming including story times, afterschool programs for children and teens, family programs, and bilingual/multicultural programs. The position may also help plan and implement the Summer Reading program and will also be responsible for maintaining and promoting the branch youth materials collection. The selected applicant will serve as an active member of the Library's Youth Services Team, collaborating to produce cutting edge services for youth of all ages. The selected applicant must possess excellent communication and public service skills, and should be comfortable working with all demographics. Collaboration with colleagues, City departments, and community stakeholders is required. May also be expected to assume responsibility for the operation of the branch in the absence of the branch manager and assist with circulation, registration, cashier duties, and shelf maintenance.

Qualifications: Master's Degree with 1 to 3 years' experience in the specialty focus area children and/or teens; OR Bachelor's degree with 5 to 7 years' experience in the specialty focus area children and/or teens, 2+ years of library programming experience, Experienced using Microsoft Office software (i.e. Word, Outlook.)

Salary: $40,267 - $67,112
