Description: Performs intermediate skilled technical work providing specialized services and programs for the library, preparing monthly statistical reports, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the moderate supervision of the Library Director. Continuous oversight is exercised over the work of youth and teen services. The normal work schedule includes Monday, 8-5 or 9-6, Tuesday, 8-5 or 9-6, Wednesday, 8-5, Thursday, 10-7 or 9-6, Friday 8-5, (when scheduled to work on a Saturday, 8-2).
Qualifications: Master's degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited school or will be completed within 12 months of appointment, or related field and one to three years’ experience working in a public or academic library as a professional librarian and 1 year supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: North Carolina Public Librarian certificate Valid driver's license.
Salary: $20.34/hr.-$26.44/hr.
