Online Resources

NCpedia: Educator Resources Provides access to teacher resources such as lesson plans, fun activities, a comparison of NC teaching standards and NCpedia articles,  NC fast facts, printable bookmarks, and links to school projects that incorporate NCpedia resources.

NCLearn NCLearn is a gathering place for all of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resource's online educational resources. Lifelong learners of all ages are welcome to explore.  Search the NCLearn database to find resources from our state's natural and cultural institutions.

#EverythingNC: Educator Resources Provides access to educator resources available from North Carolina state agencies, universities, and other North Carolina organizations. Includes lesson plans, primary resources, activities, and much more.

Teaching Digital North Carolina Teaching Digital North Carolina was a project that created tutorials and lesson guides for students and teachers using online primary resources held in cultural repositories through North Carolina. Available from the State Archives of North Carolina.

National History Day in North Carolina Program designed to promote an interest in history among students, and to assist teachers in teaching history more effectively.

Primary Source Sets: Digital Public Library of America Digital Public Library of America (DPLA) Primary Source Sets are designed to help students develop critical thinking skills by exploring topics in history, literature, and culture through primary sources. Each set includes a topic overview, ten to fifteen primary sources, links to related resources, and a teaching guide.
