Description: The Acquisitions and Receiving Specialist receives and pays for all non-serial material (books, DVDs, etc.) ordered for the Library’s collections and confers with vendors when discrepancies, problems, or questions arise. This position is responsible for preparing and transmitting accurate payment amounts to the University’s Accounts Payable department via the University procurement system (49er Mart); establishing bibliographic and order information for the Library’s online system for standing orders and serial annual editions; sharing responsibility for original and copy cataloging for non-serial Library materials; and processing and receiving periodical issues upon receipt or serves as a backup.
Qualifications: Graduation from a four-year college or university and one year of experience in a library or archives and/or records management; or high school and five years of experience in a library or archives and/or records management; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Salary: $36,853 - $42,621
