Description: The Administrative Specialist for the State Library of North Carolina is responsible for supporting the State Library’s operational and programmatic goals. This position is a member of a 4-person administrative support team with responsibility for program support, procurement, communications, financial record-keeping, and records management duties that support all State Library programs. Performs a variety of procurement, communications, financial record-keeping, records management, and program support duties such as coordinating logistical arrangements for workshops and meetings at the State Library and other locations across the state. Processes travel reimbursements. Updates website content, and processes applications and other documentation for North Carolina Public Librarian Certification and the State Aid grant program.
Qualifications: High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and four years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated experience using current office technology and/or applications, including MS Office Suite and web-based communication tools such as Teams and/or Zoom. Demonstrated experience using specialized software and/or database systems such as electronic procurement systems, MS Excel, DocuSign and Adobe Acrobat. Demonstrated experience operating and/or troubleshooting standard office equipment such as printers and web/video conference equipment.
Salary: $37,577 - $38,000
