Description: We are currently seeking an outgoing, friendly individual with the ability to build a positive rapport with a diverse community and staff, and the ability to foster an overall positive library environment. The Librarian II Branch Manager will provide strategic and functional oversight for the May Memorial Library in Burlington, NC, foster collaborative relationships with employees, peers, and community, create an environment that supports change, encourages progress, and promotes empowerment. The May Memorial Branch Manager must possess strong leadership qualities, excellent computer and communication skills, a strong work ethic, knowledge of professional library principles, methods, materials, and practices. The position is a member of the library leadership team and works closely with other system Branch Managers to support library Position Description services, staff, and the Alamance County community. Alamance County Public Libraries functions as a department of Alamance County (N.C.) Government.
Qualifications: Master's Degree with 2-3 years of professional library experience in a public library OR Bachelor's Degree with 5 or more years full-time experience working in a public library with supervisory responsibilities; Experience with computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, word processing, calendar, e-mail and database.
Salary: $49,380.00 - $56,037.74
