The Southwest Brunswick Library Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations and staff of a branch library. This role involves supervising and performing administrative tasks while applying basic library practices. The duties include assisting library patrons with reference services, utilizing books and online databases; providing computer skills training to staff and the public; managing circulation and patron registration records; organizing library events and activities; and handling front desk operations. 

As a supervisor, the Branch Manager is responsible for guiding and managing staff by assigning tasks, reviewing work, upholding standards, addressing employee concerns, evaluating performance, and recommending promotions. The Branch Manager will oversee the planning, coordination, and administration of all activities within the branch library, ensuring efficient operations and effective public relations for the Library System. This role also includes implementing short-term planning and supporting the overall success of the branch.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Library and Information Science from a college or university accredited by the American Library Association and two years of professional library experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Salary: $53,409.00 - $72,102.00
