Description: This position catalogs all media types including DVDs and audio recordings and will catalog other more advanced formats such as scores and provide original cataloging of special collections items. The person in this position will also be cross-trained to catalog other formats such as electronic formats (streaming videos and eBooks) as well as items for the Curriculum Material Center (CMC) including children’s books and textbooks. This position will also catalog items in our archives information management system, ArchivesSpace, as well as catalog digital collections items in the digital collection’s content management system (CMS). They will provide monthly catalog maintenance including upload holdings and authority control work. This person in this position will use several resources for their work including OCLC Connexion, CONTENTdm, ArchivesSpace, III Sierra and MarcEdit. They will occasionally provide instruction cataloging complex formats such as audio-visual materials and scores.
Qualifications: Graduation from a four-year college or university and one year of experience in a library or archives and/or records management; or high school and five years experience in a library or archives and/or records management; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Salary: $39,255 - $39,870
